* First Aid and CPR
* Nutrition
* Child growth and development
* On-site laboratory daycare/preschool center
* Internships in community daycare/preschool programs
* Opportunity to earn Massachusetts EEC (Early Education and Care) Preschool Teacher Certification Facilities

Two laboratory daycare/preschool classrooms along with an instructional classroom provide students with the theory and hands-on experience to develop the skills to become a Preschool Teacher certified through the Massachusetts Early Education and Care Department. During their junior year, students also have the opportunity to participate in internship placements in daycare centers in the community to further develop their skills. Senior year provides the opportunity to participate in Bristol-Plymouth's Cooperative Education Program in early childhood or to continue to develop their skills through additional internship placement.

The field of early childhood education is one of the fastest growing professions in Massachusetts. Possessing EEC certification is a stepping stone to obtaining teaching positions in daycare centers. It is also an excellent stepping stone to a college education in the field of early childhood.
